教材分析	本節課是本單元的第一課時，屬于聽說起始課，在單元中起著重要的鋪墊作用。這一課時通過大量的口語及聽力練習，幫助孩子們從感知到理解，最后掌握比較級的簡單用法，能夠在一定的語境下進行情景交際。經過本節課的學習，學生能在頭腦中構建比較結構，知道真正的美好并不是外表的比較，有良好的個人品質才是最重要的。本節課為后面的寫作及閱讀打下良好的基礎。
學情分析	學生已有的相關經驗：通過七年級下學期Unit9 What does he look like?的學習，學生能夠描述一個人的外貌，并初步理解其語境和用法。學生的需求和興趣：本班學生英語表達欲望強烈，有較強的英語學習能力，渴望在真實的情境中獲取鮮活的語言素材，并能夠從中獲得更有意義的信息。學生可能遇到的困難：本節課聽力難度較大，學生可能抓不住關鍵詞匯，無法獲取重要信息。
教學目標	一．語言能力目標： 1. 語言知識目標掌握形容詞和副詞比較級形式的構成；掌握兩者進行比較的句式結構。用as...as...談論你和同伴的相同點；用比較級句式討論你們的不同點。 I work as hard as Peter. I am more outgoing than Peter. 2. 語言技能目標 (1) 練習讀的技能。恰當地收集信息,處理信息,輸出信息。 (2) 練習說的技能。能借助圖文介紹人物外貌及性格的差異，能根據教師的引領豐富語言輸出，能結合自身實際，運用目標語言表達相同話題的信息。 (3) 練習聽的能力。 (4) 練習寫的能力。能夠運用比較句式進行簡單的寫作。二．文化意識目標能對人物的外表進行描繪，個性進行比較，明白一個人的外表并不重要，擁有良好的個人品質才是最重要的。并學會正確評價自己及他人。三．思維品質目標在豐富語言知識的前提下，擁有獨立思考的自我創新意識。在文化的沖突和包容中鍛煉思維的廣度和深度。四．學習能力目標 (1)訓練學生通過聽和觀察來搜集信息，通過回答問題來熟練語言結構。 (2)聽力訓練提供語言輸入，大量的口語練習機會提高語言輸出的能力。 (3)運用任務型教學法，以任務環貫穿教學主線，培養學生用語言做事的能力。 (4)提倡自主學習，合作學習與探究式學習。
教學重點	運用as..as..的句式進行同級的比較；運用含有”than”的比較級的句式進行人物外貌及性格不同點的比較。

Summarize what they have learned in this class.	通過“知識樹”讓學生感知本節課的學習重難點。創設情境-激活已知-提高動機。通過情景句子感知比較級的基本用法通過小組討論、游戲設置讓同學們在任務中掌握比較級的用法。通過前期感知，深入掌握描述外貌的形容詞布置真實學習任務，通過引入對三對twins的聽力介紹，創設主題語境，激發學生的想象，提高聽力技巧。通過聽力對比Tina和Tara的相同點與不同點，深入觀察單詞-(i)er or more的用法。激發學生關于“人物對比”的已有知識，通過pair work訓練學生使用目標語言進行情景交際，使學生明確學習比較級的價值，即在真實場景中的運用。通過圖片讓學生預測對話內容-整體感知-細節理解，等多重維度。訓練學生的認知策略，關注學生課堂生成，糾正學生的思維漏洞，給予口頭評價，提高學生的學習動機。再次通過“知識樹”，讓同學們自己總結本節課所學。老師幫助進行提取、分析和總結。體現學生為主體的教學原則。
